Left-arm spinner Mehran Mumtaz continued his form and took five wickets to help Pakistan Shaheens enforce follow-on against Zimbabwe A in first four-dayer.
Resuming at the overnight score of 112-4, Zimbabwe A continued to lose wickets on the third day of the contest. Mehran, who picked up two wickets on the second day, took three more wickets to complete his five-wicket haul. The young spinner helped Shaheens bowl out Zimbabwe A for 225.
In reply of Shaheen's mammoth 521-3(d), Zimbabwe A could only score 225. Dion Myers scored highest 54 runs for the hosts. Skipper Roy Kaia made 47 runs. Apart from Mehran, Mohammad Ali took two wickets while Shahnawaz Dahani bagged a wicket.
Shaheens got their in-form batter Omair Bin Yousuf in fine rhythm on day two. Omair, who returned unbeaten on 161 runs on the first day, managed to add 89 runs to his overnight score. He brought up his maiden double hundred, ending up scoring 250 off 342 balls including 27 boundaries and a maximum.
The right-handed batter was on song as he helped Shaheens post mammoth 521-3 after which they declared their first innings.
International-capped Hussain Talat remained not out for 51 runs and his contribution was worthy for the Shaheens.
